Robotics & Artificial Intelligence: K. K. Wagh Institute introduces two new 4-year degrees!

K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education and Research, Nashik is thrilled to announce the addition of two new AICTE-approved 4-year Engineering degree programs to their curriculum! We will now be offering comprehensive degrees in the fields of AI, Data Science, Robotics and Automation. Here’s a little information about the fields and their scope.

Artificial intelligence & Data Science

Data Science is a combination of multiple algorithms, tools, and machine learning principles aiming to uncover hidden patterns from the raw data. Artificial Intelligence is a component of Data Science. Data Science doesn’t just deal with machine learning, it also includes data mining, cleaning up, making sense of it, visualizing, and more. Then,  if the data can be modelled, they pick up AI. The starting salary of a data scientist in India is around 5 to 6 lacs per year and when established can go up to 14 lacs per year! Working in the field of AI boils down to creating computer programs that can tackle various problems and implement goal-oriented solutions for the same. Thus, it has a scope for game development, speech recognition, computer vision, language detection, as well as robotics.

Robotics & Automation

Robotics ventures into the design and application of robots using computers for their processing. Automation and Robotics Engineering uses control systems and information technology, reducing the need for human labour in the production of goods and services.

In India, just the starting salary for a robotics engineer is 3 to 4 lacs per year! The scope of a career as a robotic engineer is not only financially beneficially but also taps into numerous industries. They could work in fields such as manufacturing plants, laboratories, medical fields, mining, automation sector, life sciences, aerospace engineering, agricultural engineering, and so many more! Recently, there has been an increasing demand for robotic engineers in the gaming industry as well as manufacturing units.
